- extract the AXCP rule source "mp3-split_to_objects_with_SMIL.xml" to any folder
- extract the contents of the test_mp3 folder in a local folder (e.g. c:\mp3s) (but you can use any folder contining mp3 files)
- extract the contents of the SMIL_Player folder in a local folder (e.g. c:\SMIL_Player)

- Run the AXMEDIS Rule Editor and open the rule

- if you need edit the Arguments:
	- start_dir: the directory containing the mp3s you want to split (e.g. c:\\mp3s)
	- full_output_dir: full path for output (e.g. c:\\mp3split_output)
	- smil_resources (where you extracted the contents of \SMIL_Player, e.g. c:\\SMIL_Player)
ALL PATHS MUST USE "\\" as separator!!

- run the rule (F5) (if the directory contains many mp3s it will take a while!)

An AXMEDIS object should have been created in the directory you specified in full_output_dir.
Open the AXMEDIS object in the AXMEDIS player or Editor. A simple index should have been created.
clicking on a link will open the SMIL player (press the play button to listen)
to go back to the index use the back history button (green) in the player or click on the file in the hierarchy view

Notes:
- To work the rule must be able to create and access the folder c:\\temp
- The RingtoneAdaptation plug-in must be accessible by the ruleeditor
- only a starting value of 0.0 will work correctly with the SMIL.
